About Us

Jump For Joy was built from the heart. Long before we opened our first center, our founder, Miss Joyce, worked within the child care industry and saw firsthand the “dark side” of daycare—the rushed care, the lack of warmth, and the environments where children weren’t truly seen or nurtured. She knew families deserved better. She knew children deserved better. And she was determined to create a place that reflected the kind of care she wished every child could experience. So she did.

In 2009, Miss Joyce opened Jump For Joy South, laying the foundation for a new kind of child care—a place built on love, integrity, and genuine devotion to children’s well-being. From Berwyn to Cicero, North Riverside, Lyons, and surrounding Chicagoland communities, families quickly came to trust the safe, joyful, and enriching environment she created.

As the need for high-quality care continued to grow, Jump For Joy expanded, opening Jump For Joy Lyons in 2024 and later Jump For Joy Child Care Academy South. With each new location, the mission remained unchanged: to provide a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally rich environment where every child is treated with respect, encouraged to explore, and celebrated for who they are.

Across all Jump For Joy centers, our programs reflect Miss Joyce’s vision and values. We offer full-day care, before- and after-school programs, personalized reading lessons, homework support, art and music sessions, kids yoga, and nutritious meals—all designed to support the whole child academically, emotionally, creatively, and physically. Our team is hand-picked and trained with intention, ensuring that every child receives the warmth, attention, and encouragement they deserve.

Our Services include:

Child Care Services (6 Weeks to 12 Years): At all Jump For Joy locations, we provide nurturing, age-appropriate care for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. Families can choose from full-day childcare, before-school care, and after-school care, giving parents the flexibility they need. Every part of the day is designed to create a safe, structured, and enriching environment where children can learn and grow.
We proudly accept Action for Children assistance, ensuring high-quality care remains accessible for all families.
Educational Support: Our educational support programs are designed to help children excel academically and build long-term confidence. Each child receives personalized attention—whether through tailored reading lessons or dedicated homework help. We focus on meeting children where they are academically and guiding them in a way that feels encouraging, supportive, and fun. By blending structure with positive reinforcement, we help students strengthen their skills and develop a genuine love for learning.
Creative & Wellness Activities: We take a whole-child approach that nurtures creativity, emotional growth, and physical well-being. Children participate in enriching art and music activities that encourage imagination and self-expression. Our calming kids yoga sessions help little ones learn relaxation, balance, and emotional awareness. These activities work together to support healthy habits and well-rounded development in every child.
Nutrition & Balanced Meals: Healthy meals help fuel healthy minds. Each location offers nutritious, balanced meals and snacks daily, giving children the energy they need to learn, explore, and enjoy their day. Our menus support growing bodies and ensure every child receives proper nourishment throughout their time with us.
